Popular actor Karan Mehra who was last seen in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, is taking a break from TV and indulging himself in playing a sport.

Karan who is the captain of Kolkata Babu Moshayes team in Sony TV’s BCL is glad to be a part of BCL. He talks about his experience in BCL, love for cricket and more…

Talking about his craze for Cricket, Karan says, “I am a die hard cricket fan. The two things that have attracted all the youngsters is Bollywood and Cricket. In fact I had joined a Cricket academy when I was in school and I was a bright student in the academy as I used to be quite active in everything be it bowling, fielding, keeping or batting.”

He further says, “I got attracted towards acting and had a craze to become an actor. I am feeling lucky to get an opportunity through BCL to play cricket, that too in front of the cameras. It is like a super combo for me.”

Being the captain of Kolkata Babu Moshayes, Karan says that he is very good at strategizing, “Yes, I am very good at strategizing things so the team thought to make me their leader for the game. Everyone in my team are good players and so I never had any difficulty in handling my team. But yes there should be enough control to hold the ball as even then girls will play better than boys. The ball was very light and so it requires a proper hold on it.”

Karan is quite ecstatic to hit two centuries in this season. Speaking about the same he says, “Yes I made two centuries and it feels great. In fact I was the first batsmen to hit a century. I think from the next season onwards they should start introducing orange or a blue cap for highest scorer in the series that can boost more energy (smiles).”

Coming to the World Cup 2015, how excited is Karan to watch the matches? “I am very much excited for the World Cup in fact my very good friend Sushant Singh Rajput who is also doing a biopic on MS Dhoni will be going to watch the matches happening at the stadium to see India V/s Pakistan match. However, my sisters are getting married at that time I won’t be able to got this time but I will surely go for the next world cup.”
